President hails doctor’s reinstatement

President of the Republic Ilir Meta reacted to the reinstatement in his official duty as doctor of Ilir Allkaj. Allkaj was fired from his job as doctor at the Health Emergency Service on Sunday after criticizing the lack of protective gear for the medical personnel engaging in the fight against COVID-19.

“Better an additional critic than an additional sick person. NO Albanian is redundant! Together in defence of the health of all citizens,” Meta wrote on his official Facebook page, welcoming Allkaj’s reinstatement in his job.
