The expenditures made by Ramush Haradinaj on lunches in working days during his half mandate are equivalent to the price an ox. According to Government’s records, he spent 506.779.22 Euro in this category of expenditures.

This data is included in the report of expenditures presented by the Office of Prime Minister to Koha Ditore on Monday following a repeated request for access to public documents. Preliminarily, they presented cumulative data for expenses made by the entire office. They showed that Haradinaj, his staff, as well as the five deputy-PMs, their cabinet members, and national coordinators have spent 672.223.14 Euro.

The new report showed that the Prime Minister has spent on his own more than half a million Euros. This means that he has spent around 1.000 Euro each working day on lunches.

However, the document contains a note, according to which, the presented sum was spent by all the members of Haradinaj’s cabinet, which consisted of the chief of the cabinet, political advisors, assistants, drivers, and other support staff.

Haradinaj’s cabinet had 41 staff members. When the sum of expenses made on lunches for two years is divided proportionally, then it appears that each one of them spent 23.20 Euro. This sum is higher than the payment received for a working day in the private sector, which is 18.22 euros.

When the spent sum is calculated per month, it appears that each member of Haradinaj’s cabinet spent 510 Euro on lunches, which is almost equal to the average salary in the public sector and much higher than the average salary in the private sector. It is seven times higher than social assistance given to families without any employed family members.
