Regional agreement on the lower prices of roaming services in the region was signed on Thursday in Belgrade, at the second Digital Summit of the Western Balkans countries.
The agreement was signed by the representatives of Albania, B-H, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia, and Serbia.
State Secretary in the Serbian Ministry of Telecommunications Tatjana Matic said that the roaming prices would be reduced by 27 percent in the first phase, as of 1 July, and that complete abolition of roaming in six countries of the Western Balkans was expected from 1 July 2021.
Prices per one minute of conversation cannot be higher than 22.4 RSD, the prices of messages from seven RSD whereas the maximum price for the transfer of data will be 21.4 RSD, all without VAT.
“Decision was not easy at the time when Pristina violates the agreements,” Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic said.
