Rama: Production companies will not be shut down due to COVID-19 emergency

In a video communication on Monday evening, Prime Minister Edi Rama said that production companies will not shut down due to the Novel coronavirus pandemic because that would be suicide for the country.

However, the companies and their staff have to observe the safety measures. Rama said the government would prepare this week a financial guarantee plan for employees that are now home.

Rama said coronavirus situation is many times more terrible than the earthquake, but assured that reconstruction would restart as soon as the current situation was over, and that the donors’ pledges were still valid. Rama said the EU should not leave the Balkans out of their export plans for masks and medical equipment.
