Serb List: If Kurti Continues Ignoring Us, He Can Forget about Forming the

If the leader of Self-Determination (Vetevendosje) Albin Kurti intends to form a new Kosovo government together with his own ‘private’ Serbs, “he can say goodbye to forming a new government, to begin with”, the Serb List stated on Thursday.

The Serb List, which won ten seats in Parliament at the October election reserved for members of the Serbian community in Kosovo, has stated that, by announcing that he is prepared to form a cabinet without representatives of that block, Kurti is actually “breaching the highest legal acts and democratic principles”.

This, however, has not been met by any reaction from international representatives, states the Belgrade-controlled Serb List.

“I would like to hear them say whether Albanian politician is allowed to violate laws when their decisions are made to the detriment of Serbs so that the Serb List can define its own policy accordingly”, the statement reads.

If Albanian political leaders “need Serbs as mere décor to showcase to foreigners, then they have made the right connection because they conduct the dialogue with [leaders of other Serbian parties in Kosovo] Nenad Rasic, Rada Trajkovic and other yeasayers that had been severely reprimanded by the Serbian people [at elections]”, the Serb List states.

“If Kurti is allowed to hint in advance violation of rights of the Serbian people and of the laws without any consequences, then it is high time to revise all the accords involving Serbian concessions aimed at appeasing the situation and resolving problems in Kosovo”, reads the statement.

On Thursday, Kurti tweeted that he met with representatives of minority parties in Kosovo to discuss the creation of the new government, including with Nenad Rasic as a lone Serb representative.

Kurti does not consider the Serbian Ticket as legitimate representatives of Kosovo Serbs.
