Serb List Promises Not To Disrupt Formation of Kosovo Institutions

The Serb List has announced that its president Goran Rakic said, at a meeting with EU Foreign Policy Commissioner JosepBorell, that this party will not stand in the way of formation of institutions in Kosovo, so as to make sure that tariffs are lifted and dialogue resumed as soon as possible, but that it will demand to honor the rights of the Serbian people as well.

Representatives of the Serb Ticket met on Thursday with Kosovo prime-minister designate AlbinKurti, but this piece of news passed unnoticed in the Belgrade media, as only Rakic’s general statement has been reported.

“Today, we conveyed our standpoint to mister Kurti that we expect leading Albanian parties to form a majority in the new government and that the Serb List will not be the stumbling block in the formation of the future government”, Radic said.

He added that the Serb List will provide a representative for the future Kosovo cabinet. Rakic repeated that the Kosovo government cannot be formed without the Serb List.
