Serbia’s Ambassador to Russia Slavenko Terzic said that NATO implemented the policy of destabilization of the Balkans and that the Alliance was not a guarantee of stability in the region.
“The last 30 years have shown that the Alliance supports some very dangerous projects such as for example [nationalist project] Greater Albania, which destabilizes the entire Balkans. One more example of such conduct is support of the radical Islamists, especially in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in Kosovo”, Terzic said to the Moscow daily Izvestija, as quoted by Tanjug news agency.
Terzic’s four-year mandate expired in 2017, but he continues to serve as the ambassador to Moscow. Because of disorganization of the Serbian diplomacy in recent years, it is not uncommon that appointments of new ambassadors are delayed and therefore those who are currently in office remain in foreign countries longer than usual.
