Serbian PM: There Is No Reason for Meeting in Paris If Kosovo Does Not Abolish

Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic said she saw no reason for a meeting between Belgrade and Pristina in Paris if Kosovo Albanians did not withdraw the tariffs on Serbian goods.

“Regardless of this, we are always ready to sit down with the people such as German Chancellor Angela Merkel and President of France Emmanuel Macron, as well as with people from the region, and talk about problems and how to solve them”, Brnabic said to journalists in Paris after a meeting with French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe.

She reiterated that withdrawal of the tax was a condition for the resumption of the dialogue and she stressed that France supported Belgrade when it came to the abolition of tax and continuation of the dialogue.

“They recognize the efforts of President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic in solving the problem between Belgrade and Pristina through dialogue and compromise, and hearing their appreciation to what extent Serbia was constructive because it did not react to the provocation by the same measure was a pleasure, Brnabic stressed.
