Thaci Asks EU to Involve “Person with Political Weight” in Dialogue

The EU must involve a person with political weight in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, stated Kosovo President Hashim Thaci on Saturday.

In a post on Facebook, he stated that lowering the level of responsibility of an emissary without credibility does not help this goal.

Thaci believes that the EU should support all efforts leading to the achievement of a historic agreement and work with partners who yield results, Thaci said on Facebook.

The partners who yield results mentioned by Thaci are representatives of the US, while he is very critical when it comes to the EU involvement in the dialogue with Serbia, especially because of the ignored promise of liberalization of visas for the citizens of Kosovo.
