The US Quits Kosovo Property Verification Agency

The United States has quit the Board of the Kosovo Property Comparison and Verification Agency (KPCVA), US Ambassador in Pristina Phillip Kosnett announced on Friday.

“The US has resigned from the KPVCA Board, as the UK did earlier. We won’t continue when its leadership serves personal and political interests rather than the people. Selecting unqualified cronies for government positions hurts Kosovo’s image and betrays the public trust,” Kosnett wrote on his Twitter account.

The decision follows the appointment of Naser Shala to the position of Executive Director of the KPCVA executive secretariat. Shala is deemed not qualified to hold the post.
