The United States Embassy in Tirana tweeted on Thursday excerpts from the interview given by U.S. Ambassador to Albania, Yuri Kim, to Euronews Albania earlier this week. She said she had three priorities for her term in office as U.S. Ambassador to Albania, and they were related to strengthening U.S.-Albania defense relations, to support the establishment and functioning of democratic institutions, and to increase U.S.-Albania trade and investments.

In addition, Ambassador Kim posted on Twitter a picture from her interview on Euronews Albania with the following description: “Media freedom is essential to democracy. Reporters should ask real questions, leaders should give real responses. Respect to Ilva Tare other Albanian journalists for asking tough questions, researching facts, and empowering people to make up their own minds”.
