The US Embassy, on Monday, once again, in response to the writing of the Serbian tabloids, had to deny that it was in any way connected to the civic protests in Serbia.

The Embassy had, in view of the writing of Informer that the US mission “had not answered the question” on the nature of the meeting of its representatives with the leader of the Movement of Free Citizens Sergej Trifunovic, stated on its Twitter profile that the tabloid was “refusing to publish the facts”.

“It is our job to understand Serbia. Regular meetings with politicians from the authorities and the opposition as well as others throughout Serbia are a part of that job. The US is not the organizer or the financer” of the protests, states the note.
