US Representative Palmer: Serbia and Montenegro should talk

State Department Special Representative for the Western Balkans Matthew Palmer declared that Montenegro is entitled to set parameters as to who may enter that country.

He also said that authorities in Montenegro should carefully examine how this might affect relations with an important neighbor and the forthcoming tourist summer season, in light of the important role Serb tourists play in the economy of Montenegro.

Palmer concluded that this shows that there is room for discussions that should be open, transparent, calm, and should pave the road ahead that will be in the interest of all.

Serbia and Montenegro will forever be neighbors and should find a way to resolve these issues as partners, Palmer said
