“I receive many letters and there are a lot of them that I should answer to, and I have agreed with my associates that I should first write back to our people, ordinary people who are facing problems. I do not answer politicians, and there is a number of them both from Belgrade and from Pristina, I do not even think about reading letters from Belgrade and Pristina, let alone answer them”, Vucic said to journalists in Lebane during his visit to Jablanica district.

“I am not going to reply to Pacolli and I do not know what I would answer him without appearing ridiculous to myself”, Vucic said.

In a letter to Vucic, details of which were revealed on Wednesday evening, Pacolli urged the Serbian president to recognize Kosovo.

The letter came after a meeting that earlier on Wednesday Vucic had with representatives of the Serbs in Kosovo.

In the “letter of good will”, as Pacolli called it, he presented, among other things, the unrealistically optimistic view of the position of the Kosovo Serbs, especially regarding their safety and exercise of their civil rights.

Director of the government’s office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric reacted to the letter on Thursday by posting on his Facebook profile a lengthy reply in which, as Tanjug reported, “he warned in 15 points about the seriousness of the moment and the consequences that Pacolli’s malicious play with lives and fates of hundreds of thousands of people could have”.
