Vucic Once Again Calls the US President to Visit Serbia

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that, in the next ten days, he would once again invite (in written) the US President Donald Trump to visit Serbia, and that he would “try to talk” about Kosovo with some of the Trump’s closest associates and ask for support for a compromise solution.

“I will try to point out the heritage of Washington Democrats on the situation in Kosovo”, Vucic added and specified that he meant the heritage of Bill Clinton and Madeline Albright.

At the press conference in Belgrade, he also said that Serbia would be “in an even more difficult situation” if the summit in Paris announced on July 1 should not happen.

“If there is no Paris, we will be in an even worse situation than now, both us and the whole region”, Vucic said and added that Serbia was prepared to lead “a constructive dialogue”, but also it “would not give up on basic principles always used in negotiations”.
