Vucic Receives Medal of Merit: Without Greece’s Support Serbia Cannot Advance Towards EU
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met, in Athens on Tuesday, with his Greek counterpart Prokopis Pavlopoulos, whom he thanked on Greece’s support to the territorial sovereignty of Serbia and its aspirations in becoming a member of the European Union, Belgrade media reported.
“Without the support of Greece and that of the countries in the immediate and somewhat further surrounding, we cannot achieve any kind of success on our European path”, Vucic said after the meeting.
Vucic receives Athens Medal of Merit
The Mayor of Athens Kostas Bakoyannis, on Tuesday, presented Vucic with the Gold Medal of Merit of the City of Athens.
“This is a huge honor for my people, the Serbian citizens and me personally. Serbia and Greece and the Serbs and the Greeks when they are together, no matter that we are not as big as some others, their force is invincible”, said Vucic, thanking for the honor.
