Vucic: Serbia Pushed into Blind Alley in Dialogue with Kosovo

Serbia is in a blind alley in the dialogue on the normalization of relations with Kosovo, into which it was pushed, stated Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Saturday, agencies report.

He said that the 100 percent taxes on goods from Serbia, which led to the suspension of the dialogue, can be abolished only through greater pressure on Pristina.

“It is difficult to see the way out of the blind alley that we find ourselves in by no fault of our own. We have been pushed into the blind alley, and someone else carefully drove to it,” Vucic pointed out.

He expressed hope that greater pressure will be put on Pristina to abolish the taxes and added that he believes that this is possible, but that he fears it will not be done.

“Therefore we are in trouble. It is no easier than they are in greater trouble. It is of huge significance to us to preserve stability, to be able to trade with Pristina and everyone else, to be able to work because they cannot defeat us in work and economy,” Vucic said.
