Vucic Will Ask Reeker that the USA Intervenes to Cancel Kosovo Tariffs

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced on Thursday that he would also have a meeting with the assistant of the US State Secretary in the Bureau for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker at the conference in Bratislava and ask for help regarding cancellation of 100 percent tariffs that Pristina introduced for Serbian products.

While addressing the Serbian media, Vucic said that he would speak “the truth about the situation in Kosovo” at Globsec conference, but that the use from the event would also be a meeting with Reeker, which he marked as a man who “gets things done”.

Vucic denied the claims of certain Serbian media that he would meet with Kosovo President Hashim Thaci in Bratislava.

He stated that he recently saw Thaci at a summit in Tirana and that they had a harsh discussion there, but he was not traveling to Bratislava to meet with him.

He reiterated that Serbia’s behavior was always constructive and that he would like to discuss a compromise solution for the Kosovo issue.

He emphasized that Pristina tariffs damaged not only Serbia but the whole region, because when those who would like to come to Serbia to invest heard that there were “noises” in the economy and that there was no free trade.
