Influencer lectures Rama: You can't be ironic with us when you've put Zegjina in parliament

The public clash between Prime Minister Edi Rama and influencers who have supported protests against projects in Zvërnec is taking on new dimensions.

Following the ironic comments of the head of government towards the girls who have lined up to defend the environmental cause, influencer Dea Mishel Hoxha has reacted, responding harshly to Rama in a video published on social media.

She has defended influencers as educated and articulate girls, while criticizing the standards that, according to her, Albanian politics promotes through certain figures in Parliament.

She reminded him of MP Zegjine Çaushi, who Dea Mishel said doesn't even know how to count.

Hello Prime Minister. I'm an influencer, I'm wearing a skirt, and I have to act like an activist. Let's talk a little.

First, how good it is that influencers are speaking out, because the media, surprisingly, is all silent. I don't know, Prime Minister, do you know any reason, any explanation why? Because I'm stupid and I can't understand it.

Second, as a connoisseur of fine arts and artists, you should know that the female body is a divine thing and you have no reason to make such sexist comments in 2026. But, thank God, Mr. Prime Minister, I don't get a complex about men talking about my appearance, at least not enough to stop what I intend to say.

I'm responding to you with Instagram photos that are supposed to diminish the value of my words, but I'm asking my followers, what do you think, is what I'm about to say worth it or not?

I know most of the influencers and they are highly educated, articulate girls, unlike some of your cabinet. And if there are ignorant people, I don't rule it out as a possibility, but you as prime minister should look into why this is happening. Could it be that young girls and boys have no inspiration to devote themselves to school and knowledge, because they have understood that in this country, honesty and hard work do not get you ahead?

Please, don't be ironic with us, when you have put Zeqine in the cabinet, who doesn't know how to count, doesn't know how to write Albanian without mistakes, doesn't even know how to use ChatGPT to get herself out of her own mess, because she doesn't even know how to say her name.

So, the moment you take this girl and stand behind her, you're setting an example for other girls who, first of all, don't need to go to school and invest in knowledge, because you can be completely ignorant and come to Parliament. So don't be ironic.

Now Albanians are upset about such things, in addition to Narta, also about things like this that I just mentioned. I, as an influencer trying to be an activist, Mr. Prime Minister, think that you should put your phone away for a while, put it down for a day, think, calm down and show yourself to be a leader and a bigger person in this situation, because these people who have risen up in protest are not the PD militants, to whom you can turn with irony, enter into a debate and applaud. These are your people, intellectual people who are really tired. I don't think it's worth being ironic at all. I'm going now, because I have to take some photos in a bikini.
