Amortized electricity grid endangers residents of Gjadrit

The residents of the neighborhood 'Kapanone', within the Framework of Lezha, have denounced through the show "Fiks Fare" the deteriorated state of the electricity grid in their area.

According to them, the line that supplies about 70 families was installed 20 years ago and was depreshed, causing numerous material damage and danger to their lives.

Residents show that the conveyor wires have been set on fire several times, while three years ago as the pajaja and the amortized network were burned down three houses.

Due to low voltage and poor supply, many household appliances are damaged.

They claim to be correct with electricity payments and have no obligations to OSHEE, but the problem has not yet been addressed.

In search of a solution, they have made complaints to responsible institutions, but have received no response.

The Administrator of the Administrative Unit Dajc stated that he has no knowledge of this problem and that it is not in his competence to deal with such matters.

On the other hand, the Director of the Press Office of OSHEE, Ardi Kola, acknowledged that the problem in the Framework is known and that measures have been taken for intervention.

According to him, a project for the reconstruction of the network has been drafted and submitted for approval to the Regional Directorate of Shkodra.

After the approval of the material base request, new poles and installation of abc standard cables will begin, which ensure a more qualitative and safe supply.

"We have intervened many times, but these were temporary solutions. Albania has entered an investment phase and this area is part of OSHEE's plan.

After receiving the approval of the Regional Directorate of Shkodra, the works will start and are expected to be completed within two weeks, if the conditions are favorable" said Kola.
