The lawyer who came from America for Erion Veliaj, an expensive show?

Attorney Joshua Roberts from the New York-based law firm "Kasowitz Benson Torres" has traveled to Tirana to follow the judicial process of evaluating the security measure for the mayor of Tirana at the Court of Appeal.
First and foremost: he does not have the right to practice law in Albania. So, he is simply a figure on the big stage of this show. In other words, we have a "A lawyer from America came for Erion Veliaj!", to sell the militants the idea that this gentleman is the representative of American interests and that messages from America come through him.
But in reality, this lawyer does not represent any official American institution and has no connection to any issue involving the interests of President Donald Trump. He is simply a private lawyer brought in for this specific case.
How much does this lawyer cost for a media show?
Let's take a look at the office where this lawyer works. “Kasowitz Benson Torres” is one of the 32 law firms with the highest fees in all of America. According to the media “Above the Law”, in an article published in 2024 on the law firms with the highest fees, this office ranks 12th in the US. And how much does an hour of consultation with them cost? Somewhere between 2,100 and 2,600 dollars.
But for the sake of truth, this price is not that high compared to the fees that some Albanian law firms manage to charge. For example, according to the SPAK file, Ajola Xoxa's office was paid 13,000 euros for a one-hour consultation by Fusha shpk! At this rate, the lawyer from America came out cheaper!
However, the main question remains!?
• Who paid the bill to this law firm from New York to bring this lawyer to Albania just to appear in the media?
• Who signed the contract with this law firm?
• How much did the lawyer's travel, accommodation and other expenses cost?
• Who covered these expenses, given that Erion Veliaj's accounts have been seized?
• For what purpose did he really come to Tirana?
They say his brother Arbër Veliaj paid for him, but with the "Anti-Mafia" law and the fact that his brother Erjon Veliaj is under investigation for money laundering, this "payer" of the bills is also subject to this financial investigation by SPAK! It might turn out that with the money that his brother, the mayor, gave him in the name of the projects, he saved and paid the American lawyer! Do you want this transparency!???
On the other hand, a look at the official website of "Kasowitz Benson Torres" shows that lawyer Joshua Roberts specializes in contracts and commercial matters. So, it seems that he is more capable of interpreting the agreements of companies and NGOs affiliated with the Municipality of Tirana than of defending Veliaj in a criminal trial.
Anyway, let's see how the trial goes and above all, was it worth the hefty bill to bring a lawyer from America to this court show?
