"The government is emptying Albania"/ PL: No one is fooled by Rama's political carnivals anymore

The Secretary for Public Relations at the Freedom Party, Arla Merja, in a press statement, raised the alarm about a dramatic depopulation of the country and accused the government of replacing reality with "political carnival and empty spectacle."

"Albania is emptying! And no one is fooled by Edi Rama's tired political carnivals anymore!" , said Merja, emphasizing that the country is facing a frightening reality, where thousands of citizens are leaving every day, while the government continues to remain silent.

She presented data that she said showed a drastic decline in the working-age population. Between 2023 and 2024, the number of citizens in this group dropped from 1.8 million to 1.5 million, while in 2025 there are 444,000 fewer compared to 2012. The 20-24 age group has also shrunk by 48% in a decade.

According to the Freedom Party, Albania has the lowest birth rate in the Balkans and a society that is aging prematurely. “Albanians are becoming a minority in their own country, while the labor force imported from Asia is replacing the local population,” Merja warned.

She accused the Rama government of lacking vision and focusing on propaganda, while major issues such as immigration, incinerators, or international scandals are being overlooked by the media and the ruling class.

“Instead of solutions, we have spectacle. Instead of serious policies, we have silence. But the truth cannot be hidden: Albania is emptying, Albanians are fleeing, and the country is heading towards extinction, ” she said.

Merja called on citizens for national awareness and a new political vision that, according to her, should place the people at the center of decision-making. “Albania is not a godless land. This country belongs to Albanians, and we will not allow its fate to be written by crooks with ties, ” she concluded.

We are facing a dramatic and frightening reality: Albania is being abandoned by its own Albanians! Within a few years, we have lost hundreds of thousands of citizens of working age, who constitute the workforce and the backbone of the country's development.

Between 2023 and 2024, the working-age population fell from 1.8 million to 1.5 million, a drastic decrease of over 320 thousand people in just one year!

In 2025, the number dropped even further to 444 thousand fewer compared to 2012, which had the highest number recorded.

Most worryingly? The 20-24 age group, the hope of every nation, has shrunk by 48% in just one decade (2015–2025).

This is not just a statistic, it is a national alarm, it is the signal of Albania's extinction from within.

Albania has the lowest birth rate in the Balkans, a dramatic indicator of hopelessness. The average age is constantly rising, causing society to age prematurely and jeopardizing the vitality of the nation. Albania is moving towards a status where Albanians are a minority in their own country, faced with flows of unskilled labor imported from Asia. 

Albania today risks no longer being the homeland of Albanians, but the land of Filipinos, Nepalese, Indians and Bangladeshis, while Albanians are reduced to a minority in their own country!

So what is the government doing in the face of this tragic reality?

Show. Carnival. Empty spectacle.

And an army of paid, blind journalists who analyze the "spectacle", comment on the dismissals of directors, the removal of tents, or how grotesque Edi Rama's own appearances are.

No one dares to talk about depopulation, about incinerators that don't exist, about McGonigal, about the shameful May 11th that is being exposed every day in voice and image.

They can be silent, manipulate, and hide behind screens, but the truth cannot be hidden.

The truth is that the country is emptying.

The truth is that Albanians are fleeing.

The truth is that this government is destroying Albania and no one is fooled by Edi Rama's political theater anymore!

The time for awareness is now, before it's too late!

Because Albania is not a godless land!

This country belongs to Albanians, and we will not allow its fate to be written by political carnivals and swindlers in ties. We need a national awakening, a new vision, and politics that puts the people at the center.
