Albania is under the influence of a powerful African heat wave, which has engulfed the entire territory, bringing very high temperatures and difficult weather conditions.

According to the MeteoAlb meteorological service, Monday is expected to be among the hottest days of this season, with temperatures reaching up to 38°C in some areas of the country.

Throughout today, the weather is expected to be clear, with no precipitation or cloud development.

This stable atmospheric situation is a consequence of dry and hot air masses that have arrived from North Africa, causing temperatures to be significantly above the monthly average.

Minimum temperatures in the morning hours are recorded around 18°C, mainly in mountainous areas, while maximum values ​​are expected to reach 38°C, especially in regions such as Fier, Elbasan, Berat and Tirana.

According to MeteoAlb, the situation is expected to continue in the coming days, making this week one of the hottest of this summer. Although some areas will experience slight relief in temperatures from mid-week, significant increases in thermal values ​​are expected again on Thursday and Friday.
