A serious incident was recorded in the early hours of this morning in the village of Markat, Konispol.

A 44-year-old man, identified as Saimir Haxhi, was injured with a gun after attempting to rob a fellow villager's apartment. It is learned that as he entered to rob the apartment, the owner of the house shot him several times, leaving him injured.

Haxhi suffered serious injuries and was initially taken to the Saranda hospital for first aid, but his condition deteriorated and he was urgently transported to the Vlora hospital. 

Saranda Police investigators are working to clarify the full circumstances of the incident.
