The high temperatures that have swept across Europe and Albania in recent days are also having consequences for the health of citizens. The internal diseases emergency at the QSUT is facing a significant increase in the flow of patients.

" We are having 300-350 cases a day, the flow has increased these days ," emergency physician Anduela Çuko told Top Channel.

According to her, many patients present with a state of fainting, blood pressure fluctuations, or worsening of chronic diseases, triggered by the heat wave.

Meteorologists predict that high temperatures will continue throughout July, so doctors advise increased caution, especially for the elderly, patients with cardiac problems, those who have experienced episodes such as cerebral hemorrhage, as well as the chronically ill.

" Don't go out after 9 a.m. and before 7 p.m. Drink over 1 liter of water a day and consult your doctor about any possible changes in medications, " recommends Dr. Çuko.

In addition to young children, doctors emphasize that people with weakened immune systems, those receiving intensive medical treatments, or those working outdoors in high temperatures are also at greater risk from heat waves.

To more easily cope with temperatures, doctors recommend light meals, fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as fluids, the most important of which is drinking water.
