Dismissals of directors in Vlora, Teliti: Consequence of political pressure from

The member of the Tirana Municipal Council of the Democratic Party, Dorian Teliti, commented on the resignation of the directors in the Vlora municipality, following the visit of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Speaking to Ora News, Teliti said that these moves came as a result of political pressure from Prime Minister Rama.

Teliti : Their resignation came as a result of political pressure from the leader of the majority, who made it clear and simple that you leave on your own within 24 hours, otherwise there will be consequences.

And fear then led all the directors of the Vlora municipality to leave office.

The municipality is an independent institution, meaning it is an institution of local government and is independent from central government.

It is independent from the operation and dictates of Tirana politics.

The fact that the prime ministerial position and the prime ministerial power are being interfered with, that is, a power that does not depend on the prime minister, is in open violation of the principles and international conventions that Albania signed here 30 years ago, such as the Human Rights Conventions, first and foremost.

Likewise, local European authorities make it clear that powers are separated, no one should interfere, but let's not have such cases of threats and mass layoffs.

The history of Vlora is a strange story between the prime minister and the mayors of Vlora.
