10 facts about the 10th legislature!

By Ina Zhupa

Today in the last session, I highlighted 10 facts about the 10th legislature!

The Parliament to remember:

1- For committing corruption at the highest level: Legislative Corruption, with laws tailored to the interests of individuals and groups that are clients and friends of the government.

2- For the government to revert to a notary and not to include 61 MPs' initiatives in parliamentary consideration at all.

3- For violating the constitution in not allowing parliamentary investigative committees requested by Democratic Party deputies.

4- For the protection of the mandates of its deputies in violation of the constitution and not sending them to the Constitutional Court.

5- For voting on laws against the interests of citizens and violating public property, such as the Butrint concession or the Port of Durres concession.

6- For the shield against the Prime Minister's affairs, by not allowing interpellations with him, investigative committees or other parliamentary mechanisms.

7- For approving budgets that do not bring money to citizens but to oligarchs, and for not implementing dignified budgets for education, health, children, pensioners, and the needy.

8- For the continuous violation of the assembly regulation where the parliament is put only in the function of the majority deputies.

9- For the establishment of two special one-sided commissions with the will to increase control over justice and to capture the media in the country.

10- For taking over the three investigative commissions won by the opposition in a fight, the commission on incinerators, the commission on the TIMS system, and the commission on health concessions. Where the unmasking made by the vice-chairman of the group, MP Ervin Salianji in the TIMS commission, further fueled the political revenge that Edi Rama warned against him in the parliament, making him the first political prisoner in the country and why with a mandate as an MP.
