On June 8, Diogo Jota stepped onto the pitch for the last time, as the Portuguese played against Spain in the Nations League.

Cristiano Ronaldo has dedicated some heartfelt words to his teammate, who tragically passed away along with his brother, Andre Silva.

In a post on the X platform, Ronaldo sends condolences to Jota's family, calling it unbelievable that his friend, with whom he shared the field almost a month ago, is no longer alive.

"It doesn't make sense. We were just together in the National Team, you were just married. To your family, your wife and children, I send my most sincere condolences and wish you all the strength in the world. I know you will always be with them. Rest in peace, Diogo and André. We will all miss you," Ronaldo wrote.
