The gendering of politics

For a few hours, Zegjine of Roskovec found herself outside the Parliament. The recount of votes showed that before the Zegjine model, the voters of Fier had actually selected a new pharmacist, who apparently, instead of campaigning, had chosen another way of communicating with citizens and voters.

In those few hours, not only the announced "meetings" of September where the character Zegjine expected to meet with the highest opposition leaders, not only the newly completed school hours of the party, but also the very foundations on which it was built and the principles on which the reborn state functions were called into question.

Are you saying that shallow-minded people, stale jokers, artificial characters who are projected from nowhere to the top of politics, and buffoons are no longer the renaissance or the typical renaissance person?

Instead of a TikToker, YouTuber, and Instagram girl, would a pharmacist who has been serving citizens for years be preferred, who perhaps followed the door-to-door campaign model, asking for votes from precisely those she has served professionally and represented politically?

The fear lasted very little; the pharmacist resigned with a very meaningful message.

What are the real messages of the Fier electoral farce?

In Borat's Albania, what makes you an MP is no longer your political career, individual and professional personality, political discourse, contribution to society, etc., but the whims of a madman who has been in power for 12 years.

MPs are not made by meetings with people, door-to-door campaigns, programs and ideas, but by TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.

A "like" and a "share" have much more value than a political idea, a program, a promise, or a commitment.

The more shallow and stale, the more vulgar, the higher the chances of moving forward and making a career.

If you become an ugly copy of the mayor, mocking and ridiculing your opponent, especially with stale and cliché humor, instead of presenting a program and development ideas, your career path is secure.

If, in addition to these, you also meet the indispensable prerequisites, a drug trafficker who supports you and buys votes for you and a thug who threatens voters and directs them towards you, then you are invincible.

It doesn't hurt either to have a "skilled" commissioner or teller who, with a stroke of a pen, adds a few hundred votes just for garnish.

After a few hours of shock, the people of Truspl who voted for Borat again on May 11th can calm down.

The choice they have made will guarantee them exactly what they saw during the campaign: ridicule, mockery, vanity, and empty promises (even unfulfilled ones).
