The weather in Germany is going "crazy", temperatures reach 40°C

Germany is experiencing its hottest days yet, with temperatures in some areas exceeding 35°C and in some cases reaching 40°C. This heat wave, named "Betina", is expected to be followed by storms, mainly in the western and southeastern parts of the country.

In Germany, measures are being taken to cope with extreme temperatures: air-conditioned spaces have been opened, including churches, outdoor activities and work have been canceled, while some schools have limited their operations.

Authorities are especially urging people most at risk to stay in cool environments and avoid any strenuous physical activity.
