The Carabinieri have arrested Xhuljan Kurti, the 28-year-old who was part of the robbery that ended in tragedy.

Kurti has been arrested as one of three people suspected of attempted robbery at Aurelio Valiante's apartment.

Kurti has been placed under the security measure of "prison arrest" on charges of attempted theft, robbery and illegal possession of a firearm.

Kurti was one of the friends of Rivaldo Rusi, the 25-year-old Albanian who was killed by the homeowner, Aurelio Valiante, during an attempt to rob his apartment. Rusi was shot with a shotgun and his body was then moved and hidden, while the third person suspected of the robbery remains at large.

Kurti was initially taken to the hospital in serious condition and later died.

Aurelio Valiante, 58, has not been arrested but is under investigation for murder and concealment of a body. He and his family have moved to a safe location due to threats.
