Mediu: I am also one of those who support this amendment introduced by Senator Cornyn, co-sponsored by Senator Wicker and Congressman Smith. I personally support this amendment because I strongly believe in Euro-Atlantic security and the Euro-Atlantic alliance. The summit spoke clearly about the importance of cooperation within the North Atlantic Alliance in burden sharing, including financing the defense budget up to 5%, of which 3.5% in basic defense investments, which gives a new perspective for European security and the alliance as a whole.

The leadership of the United States and the American President was also praised by every European leader. I can also mention Chancellor Merz and others, who have pledged to strengthen the alliance and work together to make Europe more secure.

I also want to commend the actions against the Iranian regime, which, as I have mentioned before, will greatly contribute to a safer Europe.

In conclusion, I believe that the policies of the US, the EU and other Euro-Atlantic countries working hand in hand on security issues are very important. We should focus on cooperation and not division within the alliance and among the countries of the OEC region, in order to have a more stable and secure region. Thank you!
