"Repressive measures are strengthened every day"/ Meta: Tomorrow I

Freedom Party President Ilir Meta declared this Wednesday that repressive measures against him are increasing day by day.

The leader of the PL-d says that today he was summoned before a Disciplinary Committee due to an interview given the day before.

Meta says that after phone conversations in television studios, they now want to stop him from speaking.

For this reason, Meta has announced that he has now decided to implement a new form of communication with the public, with open letters.

As he has revealed, the first person to send him a public letter is former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, who is also under investigation by the authorities of our country and is on the run.

Meta's reaction

Dear friends, Today I was summoned again before a Disciplinary Commission, like a military court, for a "very serious" mistake: Yesterday I gave an interview at noon to journalist Aida Tancica on MCN TV, from the phone of my lawyer, Kujtim Cakrani.

When I first spoke to journalist Beti Njuma, they told me I violated the rules by speaking after 8:00 PM, while today I was called by "Discipline" for the real reason, that they don't want me to communicate with journalists.

What a bunch of idiots! It's good that they banned my ping-pong, but now they want to ban my freedom of speech.  It doesn't end there.  But today, finally after 20 days, they let me meet with my sister and two of my three children. I was initially upset when I only saw my sister and the two girls at the meeting, but not my son.

They explained to me that Besi was waiting outside because the regulations do not allow more than 3 people in a meeting, when in the meantime, during the 8 months, in the one meeting a week that I had with my family, like any other detainee, I met all 4 of them together.

In these conditions, when repressive measures are reinforced every day with "innovations", I have decided to implement a new form of communication with the public, with open letters.  Tomorrow, the first open letter will be for Mr. Arben Ahmetaj.
