Veliaj in prison, Rama meets with Municipality employees and MPs, messages

Edi Rama's meeting with Tirana's elected MPs and representatives of the Tirana municipality lasted about 30 minutes, a meeting held at a hotel in the capital.

The meeting was attended by the elected deputies of May 11, the directors of the Tirana municipality and the administrators of the units. Also present was the delegated mayor of the Municipality of Tirana, Anuela Ristani, as well as Arbjan Mazniku and Endrit Braimllari.

Since the arrest of Erion Veliaj, Edi Rama has become "de facto" mayor of Tirana, as he himself has admitted.

Media sources from the meeting indicate that Edi Rama has asked the deputies to be more present in the field to identify problems and coordinate with the local government and municipal structures to find solutions.

This meeting can also be taken as a warning for early local elections in Tirana.
