At the Qafë Bota border crossing, the crossing of citizens and private vehicles continues normally today. However, due to a situation created at the Greek customs of Mavromati, the circulation of vehicles requiring customs procedures, including trucks and commercial cargo vehicles, has been temporarily suspended.

This suspension comes after a wide-ranging operation by Greek authorities, which led to the arrest of 13 Mavromatis customs employees, including its director.

According to Greek media, the arrested are suspected of involvement in a corruption and smuggling scheme, where they are accused of taking bribes and abuse of office.
