Blushi: The Elbasan incinerator, a pit that swallows millions of euros and releases poison for citizens!

The Secretary General of the Freedom Party, Tedi Blushi, spoke this Friday about the fire that broke out in the waste dump at the Elbasan Incinerator. 

In a statement to the media, Blushi stated that the Elbasan incinerator is a criminal affair that is poisoning the city by enriching Edi Rama, with the permission of SPAK.

Blushi says that instead of having a functional incinerator that cleans and manages waste according to standards, we have a pit that only swallows millions of euros and releases poison for citizens.

He adds that the smoke rising from the Elbasan landfill is not simply environmental pollution, but the symbol of a state crime, of a monstrous corrupt affair that is poisoning the city and is killing the health and future of its residents every day.

The smoke from the garbage that continues to burn, poisoning an entire city, is living proof of the failure, fraud, and greatest financial theft in the history of Albania – the incinerator affair.

The Freedom Party, since 2021, has denounced this affair with facts and irrefutable evidence in SPAK, and this denunciation has also been made publicly by the Party President Ilir Meta, even while being the President of the Republic.

What is happening in Elbasan is the direct consequence of SPAK's deliberate permission to continue a mafia scheme built with the signature of Edi Rama and his political and economic clients, who sold this crime as a "success story."

Today, instead of having a functional incinerator that cleans and manages waste according to standards, we have a pit that only swallows millions of euros and releases poison to citizens.

The smoke rising from the Elbasan landfill is not simply environmental pollution, but the symbol of a state crime, of a monstrous corrupt affair that is poisoning the city and is killing the health and future of its residents every day, because the incinerator turned out to be a giant theft machine that still continues to devour citizens' taxes for a service that is not provided.

The incinerator affair is one of the biggest scandals of the past 30 years - an affair where hundreds of millions of euros of Albanian taxes have disappeared, for projects that either do not exist, or function only to produce fictitious billing and real pollution.

Elbasan is the most blatant evidence: a pseudo-incinerator that has covered the city with smoke for years, while justice remains silent and does not dare to take the incinerators' creator, beneficiary and "de facto" owner as a defendant: Edi Rama, who has called the incinerators "success stories", the one who has publicly defended thieves, who has called thefts "folklore", while guaranteeing that the criminal schemes continue without stopping.

Even today, while part of the mafia network is under investigation, payments to the incinerators continue from the state budget - an unacceptable mockery of the law, of citizens, and of their money.

This is because SPAK continues to describe this affair as an intellectual crime, covering up the truth, protecting those responsible, and hiding like an ostrich behind toxic clouds of corruption.

Instead of Edi Rama being held accountable for the theft in the middle of the square with the incinerator affair, for more than 9 months President Meta has been violently and illegally held, in extreme isolation, without facts and evidence, because the first whistleblower of this affair must be silenced, while the thief and de facto owner of this affair, Edi Rama, must be free to continue with the monstrous thefts, which are still ongoing.
