Democratic Party MP Edi Paloka described Edi Rama's governance as a modern form of dictatorship accepted by the citizens themselves.

In the interview on SYRI TV, Paloka said that Albanians gave Rama an absolute mandate, turning him, according to him, into a "king", while comparing his methods of governance to those of authoritarian regimes of the past.

Edi Paloka: I don't know why they are still protesting, who criticizes Rama because Rama should be criticized. I have been reflecting for some time. On May 11, Albanians voted for Rama to be king. What should be protested about now? What should be contested anymore? Every action of his or...

In fact, nothing different is happening from what happened in the previous dictatorship. These are schemes used since Stalin, in fact, then Comrade Enver adopted them, now Comrade Edvin is adopting them. What does it matter... Edvin was told on May 11, you are a king. Now he will do this to the people who voted for him, because the rest of us are the unfortunate ones who did not manage to enlighten ourselves on the 11th and follow the general line, to vote for the king too. But to the one who voted for him, Rama is giving what he wants.

What did Enver do in the past? After he had brought the country to its knees, when the discontent reached a peak that could be expressed among the people, he would find a hostile group, attack that group, and the entire people would blame the enemies for all the misfortunes that had occurred up to that moment. And so Enver delayed for 50 years.

We don't have the police we want, the justice we want, or the government we want, but King Edwin has the people he loves.
