PSG beats Bayern Munich 2-0, advances to Club World Cup semifinals

Paris Saint-Germain are through to the semi-finals of the Club World Cup after beating Bayern Munich 2-0 in the quarter-finals in Atlanta. In a match full of scoring chances, with goalkeepers Neuer and Donnarumma the protagonists, the decisive moment for the reigning European champions came in the 78th minute, when Desiré Doué scored with a precise left-footed shot from outside the area, leaving Neuer unresponsive.

In extra time, Ousmane Dembélé sealed the victory with his second goal. Bayern Munich had two goals disallowed, one for Upamecano in the first half and another for Harry Kane in the final minutes of the match.

It is worth noting the serious injury to Jamal Musiala shortly before the end of the first half, after a collision with Donnarumma, as well as the red card for Pacho two minutes after the goal of the advantage (the PSG defender will miss the semi-final against the winner of the Real Madrid-Borussia Dortmund pair). Lucas Hernandez was also sent off in extra time.

A lost ball by Karry Kane in the 78th minute, when the Bavarian team was trying to build a quick counterattack, cost Bayern dearly.

The ball snatched in the German champions' half created the opportunity to catch the opponent by surprise and that's what happened. The talented Desire Doue, served by Neves, caught Neuer off guard, who could do nothing but watch the ball heading towards the net with his eyes, desperate.

A few minutes after Doue's goal, PSG is reduced to 10 men due to a dangerous tackle by Pacho. Lucas Hernandez is also sent off for elbowing an opponent.

It's incredible what happens in extra time: even with two players less, PSG manages to score the second with Dembele.
