World War III will start with simultaneous invasions by Xi and Putin, warns NATO chief Mark Rutte

NATO chief Mark Rutte has warned that World War III will begin with simultaneous invasions by Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin, the Daily Mail reported.

Secretary-General Rutte suggested that combined attacks by Chinese and Russian leaders could trigger a World War I nightmare and bring the planet to the brink of Armageddon.

According to the NATO chief, China would start by seeking to seize Taiwan - while ensuring that the Kremlin dictator simultaneously attacked NATO territory, amid fears that Putin is eyeing the Baltic republics of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, formerly part of the USSR.

Russia today hit back at former Dutch Prime Minister Rutte, claiming he had "eaten too many of the magic mushrooms beloved by the Dutch", while warning that he should look forward to a future in a hellish Siberian labor camp.

Stressing the urgent need to rearm and increase military budgets, Rutte told the New York Times in a frightening vision of the future: "Let's not be naive about this.

"If Xi Jinping were to attack Taiwan, he would first make sure to make a phone call to his junior partner in all of this, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, who resides in Moscow, and say, 'Hey, I'm going to do this and I need you to do it to keep them busy in Europe attacking NATO territory.'"

"This is most likely the way this will progress, and to deter them, we need to do two things," he added.

Continuing his terrifying narrative, Rutte said: “The first is that NATO, collectively, is so strong that the Russians will never do that.”

'And secondly, working together with the Indo-Pacific - something that President [Donald] Trump is promoting a lot, because we have this close connection, working together in the defense industry, innovation between NATO and the Indo-Pacific.'

Rutte warned that Putin is rearming at a rapid pace, insisting that Western countries must increase defense spending.
