Released from house arrest, Malltezi: I was deprived of my freedom for 20 months

Jamarbër Malltezi spoke to the media from SPAK after the GJKKO's decision to lift his house arrest, which he had been under for two years.

Malltezi said that for 20 months his freedom has been tested for a political farce, on the orders of Edi Rama.

"It was a political farce. There is no legal state but a state that fights the enemies of the SP just like in '45. The decision today comes after 20 months of deprivation of liberty. Simply by a political order from Rama. At the SP congress, Rama ordered SPAK to prosecute Sali Berisha. A corrupt diplomat like Yuri Kim requested the same thing. A political process that was tainted along the way. We have 16 letters as soon as Rama ordered to act, SPAK jumped on whatever it wanted. 16 requests within a month. 30 years of investigations by the Social Security Institute. Who have been investigated for 5 generations, not one? They started with my great-grandfather 90 years ago. I found my great-grandfather's signature," said Malltezi.
