The striker severely accuses the Fenerbahce club: They tried to drug me

Winger Allan Saint-Maximin has shocked public opinion with his account of his experience at Fenerbahçe, describing it as a "toxic war" and making serious accusations against the Turkish club.

During an interview on Zack Nani's YouTube channel, the French striker - on loan last season from Saudi Arabia's Al-Ahli - revealed that he had faced difficult situations that, according to him, "inevitably affected him."

"I'm an honest person and I wouldn't want to put people in difficult situations. But I've reached a stage where I'm no longer afraid of anything. They tried to drug me, injecting me with meaningless things," he declared.

According to him, the treatment by the club lacked any human sensitivity, even when his father was in serious health condition.

"The only thing that mattered to them was the game. But where is the human side? When I'm at my worst, stay close to me," he declared.

The Frenchman, who had a good start to the season but then dropped significantly in form, added that he had a direct confrontation with coach José Mourinho.

"I spoke to Mourinho as a man to man. He is an extraordinary coach and he helped me progress, but he also had many obstacles during the season," the striker underlined.

The Turkish club has reacted harshly to Saint-Maximin's statements, warning of legal action.

"We have followed with surprise the statements of Allan Saint-Maximin on social networks. The distortion of the facts regarding health treatment constitutes an attempt to damage the reputation of our club. As Fenerbahçe SK, we will pursue all legal avenues against any false claims or misinterpretations that harm our image," the Turkish club writes.

This clash comes just a short time after Saint-Maximin ended his season-long loan at Fenerbahçe, without fully convincing Mourinho and the technical staff.
