Theologian: Behind Rama's idea for a Bektashi state in Albania, Israel is

The idea for creating a Bektashi state in Albania came to Prime Minister Edi Rama from Israel, said the former chairman of the Hoxhallar League, Justinian Topulli.

Invited to A2 CNN, he cast doubt on the extremely close relationship of the Tirana-based World Patriarchate of Bektashi with official Tel Aviv over the years, and stressed that Israel needs a model to show the world that it has no problem with Muslims, despite the conflicts in the Middle East.

"What I suspect and have the greatest conviction, tracing the geopolitical situation a little. This is not Rama's project. This is a project that came to Rama from abroad. For the very fact that it has been worked on for a long time. I suspect and believe that one of those interested is Israel in the middle. For the reasons why: 'If you look at the relations that the state of Israel has had with the Bektashi Patriarchate throughout all these years, it is an unprecedented relationship of rapprochement with them. Which makes you question what is behind them.

This first. Second: Israel has a problem in the Middle East with the Muslims there. It is always attacked, accused of not loving Muslims and persecuting them, discriminating against them, which is obvious. There is no need to argue. Now it seeks a slightly different rhetoric, to say that I have no problems with Muslims and they have no problems with me. And it needs a model with which to behave and they to behave with it. So they should accept it,"  said Topulli.
