From watermelon, to peaches and melon, here's the summer fruit with the

Summer is the season of abundant and delicious fruits. From watermelon, melon to apricot and peach, we don't know which one to choose, whether to enjoy it simply as an appetizer or in recipes!

If you think that eating a lot of fruit won't make you fat, then you're wrong. It's clear that a piece of fruit is much better than an ice cream.

But if you consume large amounts of something healthy as well, you'll definitely be loaded with extra calories. So, let's see how many calories our favorite summer fruits have:

watermelon

Watermelon is a low-calorie fruit with 38.9 kcal/100g. So, this means that you can consume large amounts without fear. Of course, don't overdo it with its combinations.

For example, classic sliced watermelon has a lot of calories because of the slice! However, you can add it to smoothies, juices, and even desserts.

Apricot

Apricots have a little more calories than watermelon. 45.9 kcal/100 g. So, 3-4 – at least – apricots are a good snack for the office. You can combine them with yogurt in the morning or afternoon, in smoothies, in fruit salads, and they also fit perfectly in tarts, but increasing the calories.

We can also make apricot jam, of course controlling the amount of sugar as much as we can, so that the calories don't explode.

PEACH

With 46.1 kcal/100 g for the white peach and 46.3 kcal/100 g for the yellow peach, it ranks third among the summer fruits with the lowest calories. 1 peach (or 2) is also a good idea for an office snack. It goes very well with juices and smoothies as well as fruit salads. In less healthy versions, it is perfect in tarts, salads and of course in jam!

Nectarine

Slightly higher in calories is the nectarine, which is a fruit related to the peach. With 51.3 kcal/100g for the yellow version and 51.8 kcal/100g for the white version, nectarines are juicy and delicious with all of our summer fruit cake recipes.

Melon

Unlike watermelon, cantaloupe has many more calories. With 62.7 kcal/100g, cantaloupe has the advantage of being “satisfying” and creating a feeling of fullness. In addition, like watermelon, it is full of water, which is ideal in summer, when our body has high water requirements.

How to consume it? Beyond its simplicity, it goes well with summer fruit salads and smoothies. It goes well with savory salads, but mostly it gives us delicious desserts.
