A 28-year-old man has been arrested by police after attempting to smuggle a firearm from Kosovo to Albania.

The young man has been identified as Ardit Saramati.

During the checks carried out in the 'Benz' that the young man was driving, the blues also found a combat ammunition.

The firearm, ammunition and vehicle were seized as material evidence.

At the conclusion of the procedural actions, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Kukës DVKM arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen AS, 28 years old, resident of Prizren, for the criminal offense of "Trafficking in weapons and ammunition ", the police announced today.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Kukës, for further action.
