Citizen is asked to pay 2.5 million for a non-existent meter

Rexhep Bruçi, a citizen from Burreli, tells the show "Stop" on TV Klan that he is being forced to pay a debt of 2.5 million lek for an energy meter that does not belong to him.

This is a 2014 device, which was announced in 2018.

"OSHEE in Burrel has charged me a meter without that meter existing and I have been in debt since 2014 and until today, with a value of about 2 and a half million lek (old). In 2018, they told me that you are in debt to OSHEE. I have two meters that I have regularly and pay, one in the city and one in the village. I request that the amount in question be removed from me, until all the documents are verified that that meter was never installed nor was it ever contracted.

"I went to the offices several times and they told me that you have to go to court. The request went to the OSHEE directorate in Tirana and they replied that your request was not accepted. A first manager said that this contract should be canceled, I have it in writing, while the others were not canceled at all and to this day it continues to run as a contract," the complainant says.

According to several responses to his inquiries, the former administrator ruled in favor of the citizen and ordered the deletion of the contract and obligations from the system.

But, a new response from the former administrator explains that he should pursue other avenues since he has not complained within a year.

The coordinator of the Burrel FSHU, Erald Ballabani, says that Rexhepi's request will be forwarded to the central institution again.

"In the case in question, where Mr. Rexhep Bruçi claims contracts that are not his. The documentation has been received and will be taken to the center to be reviewed again as a complaint. Even as a complaint, the former administrator has given a response and I believe we will return a response to the gentleman. There must be some anomaly in the duplication of contracts. The gentleman's complaint will be followed up by the central directorate", said the coordinator of FSHU Burrel, Erald Ballabani.

But although months have passed, nothing has been done./tvklan.al
