Where is Ronaldo after missing Diogo Jota's funeral?

Cristiano Ronaldo has been photographed for the first time since he decided not to attend the funeral of Diogo Jota, who tragically died after a road accident last week, writes the Daily Mail.

Where is Ronaldo after missing Diogo Jota's funeral?

Jota, 28, and his brother, Andre Silva, 25, were killed when their car crashed in the early hours of Thursday morning in northern Spain.

The accident happened just 11 days after Jota married childhood sweetheart Rute Cardoso, who is the mother of his two sons Dinis, four, and Duarte, two, as well as his young daughter Mafalda, who is just eight months old.

The pair were buried at the Gondomar cemetery in Portugal on Saturday afternoon, with many of Jota's Portuguese teammates, including Bernardo Silva and Ruben Neves, paying their respects to the striker.

However, the Portugal captain was not one of them, and it is believed that he decided not to attend the funeral due to previous tragedies he has suffered in his life.

A day after the funeral, Ronaldo was photographed relaxing on a yacht in Mallorca with Georgina Rodriguez, as he continues to deal with Jota's death.

Portuguese media reported that the 40-year-old was on a yacht when many expected him to fly to Gondomar, a municipality near Porto.

According to Portuguese newspaper Record, Ronaldo may have decided not to attend the event due to the sensitivity surrounding the death of his father, Jose Diniz Aveiro, who died in September 2005 when Ronaldo was just 20 years old.
