Fire on Mount Dukat still active, Llogara National Park at risk

The fire on Mount Dukat has been burning for more than 24 hours.

So far, over 160 hectares of dense vegetation, shrubs, and pine forests have been burned.

The fire risks spreading towards the Llogara National Park, an area of high ecological and natural importance.

The fire line is reported to be about 3 to 4 kilometers long and has numerous branches that could spread further due to the wind and rugged mountainous terrain.

The southern flank of the fire, which is located closer to the Llogara protected area, is considered the most critical and is being kept under constant monitoring.
