"The opposition amendments were approved", Bardhi-Rama: In the European Parliament they see you as a "corrupt clown"

The head of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted in revolt against Prime Minister Edi Rama, declaring that the MEPs in the EU-Albania Stabilization and Association Parliamentary Committee have approved the amendments proposed by the opposition, which according to him were opposed by the Socialist Party.

Through a post on social media, Bardhi rejected the prime minister's statements and accused him of misinformation, stating that the MEPs' stance was in favor of the Albanian opposition's demands.

In his reaction, Bardhi also used harsh language towards the head of government, writing that in the European Parliament Rama is seen as a "corrupt clown" and "a pawn of organized crime."

Someone inform Edi Rama that the MEPs in the EU-Albania Stabilization and Association Parliamentary Committee approved all the opposition amendments, which the Socialist Party rejected.

The approved amendments required:

* prohibiting vote buying, patronage and misuse of state resources;

* concrete results in the fight against corruption and organized crime;

* respect for European standards for parliamentary immunity;

* protecting the independence of SPAK and justice;

* transparency for PPPs, concessions and strategic investments;

* protection of property, protected areas and freedom of the media.
