The official structure of the 2026–2027 school year for the pre-university education system in Albania has been published. According to the joint order of the Ministry of Education, teaching in basic education and upper secondary education will begin on September 14, 2026 and will end on June 18, 2027.

For high school graduates, the learning process will end earlier, specifically on June 4, 2027, to pave the way for the State Matura exams, which will be held from June 7 to 28.

Meanwhile, winter breaks for all levels of pre-university education will begin on December 24, 2026 and will last until January 4, 2027. Spring breaks are also planned for basic education from March 29 to April 2, 2027.

According to the document published in the Official Gazette, the national basic education exams will be held from June 21 to 30, 2027.

The dates for the start of classes and final exams have also been set for vocational education. Classes will begin on September 14 for most vocational education structures, while for some post-secondary education programs, the process could begin as early as the third week of October.

Final exams for professional qualifications of various levels will take place throughout May and June, while the Professional Matura will be held in the same period as the State Matura, from June 7 to 28, 2027.

This calendar determines the organization of the next academic year for thousands of students across the country, guiding schools on teaching deadlines, holidays, and national testing processes.
