"You may lose the ability to become a parent," gynecologist talks

Gynecologist Jensila Omeri has raised concerns about the possible consequences of long-term use of hormonal therapies, emphasizing that they can affect several aspects of health.

Invited to A2CNN, Omeri stated that among the effects that should be considered is the reduction in bone mass, which according to her can increase the risk of osteoporosis and fractures.

The doctor also spoke about the possible impact on fertility, warning that in some cases there may be long-term and irreversible consequences.

"The main component is that these hormones reduce bone mass. They predispose to osteoporosis and bone fractures. The second has repercussions for loss of fertility. You may lose the ability to become a parent in the future. You may change your mind after 7-8 years, but you may have irreversible effects. Hormones can have such effects that block your fertility ," said Omer.
